    This is an incredible hike. The Aspen Inn. At this point the road becomes a four-wheel drive road. The reward is a spectacular basin fed by fanning waterfalls. The total hiking distance to Petroleum Lake is 1.8 miles one way. Then a 10 minute hike just to get to the start of the trail to Crater Lake.
