Special Purpose Packing

SS490 is braided from a unique inconnel wire-inserted high temperature yarn. A high temperature polymer core is incorporated into the design to give the packing memory to recover its size after doors are opened and closed.

Construction: Braid-over-core

Features: SS490 is designed to be used in problem areas where seal is required over rough and uneven surfaces that must seal and reseal from frequent openings and closings. Provides excellent service in oven doors, crucible lids and tanks.

Limitations: Temperatures up to 1000F
