Single Rotary Seals
Hard Rotary Face Material: The rotary face of the seal, the part that gets the wear, is made of SEPCO Carsil, a material so hard it can scratch glass. That means you get six times more wear-resistance than with standard carbon rotary faces.
Hard Stationary Seat: Until recently, most abrasion-resistent seats were made of tungsten carbide, SEPCO Silbide seats are 50% harder.
Superior Corrosion Resistance: Both SEPCO Carsil and SEPCO Silbide face materials are more resistant to corrosives than most standard face combinations. Also, since this seal has no wetted metal parts, exotic alloys are not required.
Compact Design: The compressed working length of the rotary unit is just 1 1/8″, short and narrow enough for AVS and ANSI pump installations.
Self Cleaning: A circulation hole through each spring recess provides for a strong flush, keeping solids in suspension to prevent clogging. And since the springs are fitted into drilled holes at both ends, there is no spring distortion at high speeds.
One O-ring: Applications requiring exotic elastomers are less expensive with our single O-ring design.
